ROTARY SCREEN

ROTARY SCREEN

The rotary screen is designed to efficiently separate particles of different sizes from wood, such as chips, shavings and sawdust, as well as products such as pine bark, as well as other different products such as aggregates, compost, among others.

The rotary screen is made up of a cylindrical or hexagonal drum, depending on the type of application, lined with bolted or welded perforated plates and with holes of varying diameters, and may have one or more screening sections.

The raw material is fed into the mouth through a conveyor and is transferred to the outlet of the drum. As the raw material moves through the drum, particles smaller than the holes are released by gravity and collected by screen, auger or drag conveyors at the bottom of the screen. The rejected raw material is collected at the end of the drum and transferred by conveyors to other equipment or to a warehouse.

Rotary screens are robust, high-efficiency, compact designs with minimal energy requirements, ideal for resource recovery. This equipment is customised to suit the layout and requirements of a specific application.
